Write your own as a simple sentence: if this happens, for these people, send this message to those people.

A few messages spaced out over days or weeks, which stop on their own once the person has done what you asked.

Write once to the whole company or to one team, and agree the exact words and the number of people before it goes.

Sequences

Reminders that know when to stop.

A sequence starts from one moment, such as an invitation or a course being given to someone, and sends a few messages over the days that follow. When the person does what you asked, the reminders stop on their own, so nobody is chased for something they have already done.

Nobody receives more than one sequence message in a day, across all your sequences.
Nothing from a sequence goes out on a day you have already sent that person an announcement.
Steps always go in order, and a step that falls on a weekend can wait until Monday.
Switching a sequence on only starts it for people from that day, so nobody hears about something from last year.
People can switch these tips off in their own settings. Anything about their job still reaches them.

You can write a shorter version for WhatsApp and a longer one for email. No message quietly disappears into a broken connection.

Nothing goes out until you say yes.

Before an announcement is sent, you see how many people it will reach, on which channels, and the exact words. If the number changes before you press send, hr goat stops and tells you.

Afterwards, every message is recorded: who it went to, on which channel, and whether it was sent, is waiting for a channel to be connected, or did not go. For a survey or a review you can also see how many people it reached and how many have finished.
